Teams can have up to 10 student members. While teams tend to come and go as children enter and then age out of the FLL program, there are a few legacy teams that occasionally have openings for new team members. The cost can be divided by the number of participants, or the team can apply for grants.
Thirdly, in the Project, [2] the students must give a 5-minute presentation on the research of a topic related to the current challenge. When the official competition convenes, each team brings their robot to compete on an official challenge mat identical to their own. Two team members are allowed at the board during a match; however, they can switch out with others in the team. In the case of a serious problem, such as the entire robot breaking down, the entire team is allowed at the board for as long as the problem persists. Members are not permitted to bring additional robots or any other items to the board during the competition. While at base, two team members are allowed to touch the robot and start programs. These are stationary LEGO models that increase the final score if they remain until the end, providing an incentive to not interrupt the robot. The robot is not required to return to base; some teams have completed all their missions without returning to base during the time allowed to complete the missions.
This is not uncommon as pretty much every platform requires less or more work to enable extreme overclocking. One of the issues that popped up was a PLL-related bug that caused the CPU frequency to report much higher frequencies than it was actually running. Even much higher than 10 GHz!

Их решение по инновационному проекту: «Мини гидроэлектростанция в трубах после ливневой системы на базе обслуживания ЗСД Западный Скоростной Диаметр - платная дорога Санкт-Петербурга » позволит не увеличивать цену на платную дорогу в СПБ и осветить базу обслуживания этой дороги. The Oral Retainer Controller, invented by the Lego Legend Crusaders, converts a standard video-game controller into a speech-therapy device. The team found Danielle through an internet support group, according to coach Melissa Murray. Danielle was born without fingers on her right hand, and until she met the Flying Monkeys, Danielle, who is right-handed, had never picked up a crayon or pencil in her dominant hand. Team member Maria Werner, 11, says that one of the biggest challenges in helping Danielle was "deciding whether to make fingers for Danielle or use her palm as the base [for the prosthetic]. Their solution: a rubber gripper for holding writing utensils, attached to the hand using moldable plastic strips, adjustable Velcro and foam pads for comfort.
Helping Danielle to write has inspired the Flying Monkeys to help others.

The team can modify it while it is in a home area before launching again to try other missions. During a match, only the robot can move objects from one home area to another. Teams may not pass anything from one home area to another. When a robot is interrupted completely outside of a home area, it may be returned to either area. Mission requirements must be visible at the end of the match to score unless otherwise stated in the mission. Coaches are not allowed to speak to the referees.
